We’re so excited about your new website (and we hope you are too)! Here are some helpful resources to help you make the most out of your new internet home.
Behind the Scenes
We have a whole launch list of items going on over here to ensure the backend items are working as they should. We’ll finish those within the next 24 hours. That includes:
- Testing each page manually to ensure design and functionality is working as intended.
- Double checking your site on different browsers and devices.
- Installing an SSL certificate to keep your site secure.
- Testing contact forms to ensure notifications are sending properly. Check your inbox for a test message from us!
- Adding Google Recaptcha to protect your contact form from spam entries.
- Optimizing your site to load as quickly as possible.
- Installing Google Analytics so you can see data about your website’s visitors.
- Connecting Google Search Console and submitting your sitemap to Google so you can be found in search results.
- Implementing 301 redirects to direct traffic from your old URLs to your new URLs.
- Creating user accounts for you to login to your website – keep an eye out for an email with a link to set your password!
Bug Fix Window
As you get comfortable with the site over the next two weeks, please let us know of any bugs you come across so we can fix them. Please send us one email to cl*****@**********gn.com covering any issues you come across. Then, we will go in and fix any issues at one time.
Please note this is specific to things that aren’t functioning properly, rather than styling or content edits. Not sure if your request qualifies? Here are a few examples:
Bug Requests

It’s our goal to make your website as low-maintenance as possible, but even the best built websites need a bit of love and attention every now and again. Please don’t ignore it!

- 24/7 Security Monitoring – Added security software and 24/7 monitoring to protect against hackers, viruses, and malware.
- Monthly Database Cleanup – Monthly purge of site revisions, spam comments, and unneeded tables to keep your site lean and efficient.
- Performance Testing – Ensure your site is always running as quickly as possible with regular speed tests and optimization adjustments as needed.
- Uptime Monitoring – We’ll have eyes on your site, even when you don’t. We’re notified immediately if your site goes down so we can restore it as quickly as possible.
- Site Restore – Reinstate your website to its most recent backup copy free of charge in the unlikely event that it is hacked or otherwise compromised.
- Monthly Site Report – A detailed overview of all backups, updates, website traffic, speed tests and security scans performed on your website.
All maintenance plans are month-to-month and contract free, so you’re not locked into anything if you decide it’s not for you.
Training Videos
We’re here to help and support you as much as you’d like! But we also know how convenient it is to be able to make web edits on the fly when you need them without having to connect with a developer.
We have a library of training videos to orient you with the backend of your website (called the dashboard). They’re also available from within your website once you’ve logged in. Feel free to watch over and over until you’re comfortable. And please, make suggestions if there’s something you’d like to see us cover in additional videos. We’re always looking to improve.
