Overview:

The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey required a comprehensive redesign of their existing website to better serve their community and enhance their digital presence. The goal was to create a scalable, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing website that aligns with their mission to support vulnerable populations and promote Jewish life and culture.

Challenge:

The existing website struggled with usability issues and outdated design, which did not effectively communicate the Federation’s message or facilitate community engagement. The site needed to be completely overhauled to improve navigation, functionality, and visual appeal to better serve the needs of organization members and patrons.

Solution:

Our team designed and developed a custom WordPress website including 60 pages and 20 unique templates, ensuring a 100% custom-built structure tailored to the Federation’s specific needs.

Key features included:

• Community Directory: A robust location management system with an interactive map and searchable listings.
• Shabbat Table Talk Blog: Design of a new blog section, including the migration of approximately 75 blog posts.
• Calendar: Integration and enhancement of the existing Calendar Wiz tool to include various views and improve user interaction.
• Custom Post Types: Dedicated sections for ‘Board & Staff’ and ‘Reports & Publications’ to facilitate access to essential information.
• SEO optimization was applied to each page, and the project also included an email newsletter signup feature to enhance marketing efforts. A training video library was provided at launch to support the client’s ability to manage the website internally.

Outcome:

The launch of the new website marked a significant improvement in the Federation’s digital outreach. The site’s enhanced navigation and cleaner design allowed users to easily find information and engage with the content, significantly boosting the site’s usability and functionality. Feedback from the community was overwhelmingly positive, praising the intuitive design and comprehensive resources.
